Going Green
Green Initiative
“Going green” means to pursue knowledge and practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles, which can help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations.
Superior Facility Service Group® determinedly considers our choices in additional power washing products to be eco-friendly.
It matters to us because, many commonly used degreasing products contain mineral spirits, butyl-based products, caustics, and alkaline detergents. Ingredients known to cause burning sensations, convulsions, dizziness, loss of alertness, memory problems, nervousness, numbness in arms and legs, and respiratory issues, respectively.
Green Seal Approved, what does that Mean?
Some Heavy-Duty Degreaser Concentrates on the market have worked diligently to obtain the Green Seal Approval. Approval indicates they are a non-hazardous alternative for a variety of industries including maintenance and cleaning.
Unlike conventional chemistries like mineral spirits, high alkaline or hazardous chemicals, these products can be water-based; meaning they are safe for the substance being cleaned, the trained worker and are environmentally accountable.
They replace dangerous chemicals, efficiently clean grease, oils, carbons, inks, and other organic sediments. They do not contain glycol ethers meaning they are environmentally conscientious. They do not damage new coatings or paint because they have no phosphates, caustics, chlorinated solvents, or silicone and safe for use around CNC Machines as they do not cause coolant fowling or deterioration inhibitor breakdown.
